The Banyan Tree at Jyotisar Kurukshetra is where Lord Sri Krishna delivered the Bhagavad Gita to Arjuna 5000 years ago. Amidst Arjuna’s doubt and reluctance to fight, Lord Krishna spoke the eternal message of devotion, love, and surrender to the supreme.

Sri Krishna Arjun Temple

The Sri Krishna Arjun Temple, envisioned by Srila Prabhupada, stands on a vast 6-acre land The temple resembles a magnificent chariot, adorned with 4 majestic horses and 6 grand wheels. The upcoming campus comprises a guest house, an auditorium, a banquet hall, an educational block, and a multi-cuisine restaurant for facilitating the visiting pilgrims.

Bhishma Kunda

The revered sage and valiant general, Bhishma Pitamah, lay upon the bed of arrows at this sacred site, for 51 days. While on the bed of arrows, he imparted invaluable instructions to Yudhishthira. Bhishma Pitamah departed from this world while meditating upon the divine form of the Supreme Lord Krishna, who graciously appeared in front of him at the time of his departure.

Sri Venkateshwar Balaji Tirupati Temple

This magnificent black granite temple, dedicated to Sri Venkateswara Balaji, replicates the architectural splendor of the main temple in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. Brahma Sarovar

Located in the centre of the Kurukshetra, the expansive and tranquil Brahma Sarovar is linked to Lord Brahma the creator of the universe. Radha Krishna Milan mandir

The only place where Radha and Krishna met outside Braj is Kurukshetra.The Brajwasis arrived for a yajna during a solar eclipse in Kurukshetra. There, they encountered Shri Krishna, and the gopis, led by Radharani, desired to bring him back to Braj. The spirit of this meeting is celebrated through the Jagannath Rath Yatra, and a temple called Radha Krishna Milan Mandir was established by Srila Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati, with deities of Radha-Krishna and Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.

Abhimanyu Chakravyuh Sthal

The Kauravas devised a formidable Chakravyuh formation. Only Abhimanyu knew how to break through it, with the other Pandavas accompanying him. Abhimanyu fearlessly entered the Chakravyuh while Jayadratha blocked the other Pandavas. Despite facing fierce warriors, Abhimanyu valiantly fought back and achieved Veergati at this location.

Bhadra Kali Shaktipeeth

Shri Devi Koop Temple, dedicated to Maa Bhadrakali, is one of the revered 52 Shakti Peeths, According to scriptures, the temple marks the site where Goddess Sati’s right ankle fell after Lord Vishnu’s Sudarshan Chakra dismembered her body, following her self-immolation at King Daksha’s yagya. Inside the temple, a sacred white marble lotus symbolizes this divine event. It is also believed that the Pandavas sought blessings here before the Kurukshetra War and, after their victory, offered horses to the deity as a gesture of gratitude.

Sthaneshwar Mahadev

The Sthaneshwar Mahadev Temple, over 5,000 years old, is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is a key spiritual site in Kurukshetra. According to scriptures, Lord Brahma established the first lingam here, making it the earliest place of worship for Shiva. The temple played a role in the Mahabharata, as the Pandavas and Lord Krishna sought Lord Shiva’s blessings here for victory in battle. Mahashivratri is celebrated with great devotion, and no pilgrimage to Kurukshetra is considered complete without visiting this temple.
